Cosi has opened in Austin! I am so freakin’ excited. It’s only one of my most favoritist sandwich places that I frequent just about every time I’m in DC. I am now craving some s’mores like no other. It’s probably a good thing that it has opened in South Austin on the complete opposite end of the world from me.
I also discovered last night that McCormick & Schmicks has the most awesome reverse happy hour known to man. A cheeseburger for $1.95. Glass of wine for $4.75. I would have been more than happy to pay these prices, however Michelle’s friend that was with us is a wine rep, so they comped our meal. Even better!
I spent last evening wandering around Nieman’s drinking wine and eating good food, and it was all for a good cause! The American Cancer Society did a fundraiser for the Cattle Baron’s Ball called “Bejewled”. One of my capitol friends, Aynsley, is on the board and she helped to orchestrate the event so a few of us girls attened. There were several jewelry designers present and models walked around wearing various “jewels”. We got to wander around Nieman’s and explore. Rich people will buy some pretty hideous things for obsene amounts of money.
Very much looking forward to my weekend. Besides working, I am going to see a band I like tonight and tomorrow I’m meeting Britt in San Marcos for lunch so I can get the family secrets back from her before she moves to Knoxville at the end of February. Also possibly celebrating another year of Guilio. Woo weekend!
